It was wonderful to catch up with my friend. We had just seen each other in August, sometimes a month or even a few weeks seems like forever. The reason why is was so great to see my friend is because my family and I will be moving soon (read my last blog post here to find out about our moving adventure). I also went to visit another friend yesterday so the past two days of seeing friends that I won't get to see as much once we move was really great. I'm so thankful for my friends. I will miss them for sure.
This is an old picture of the friend I went to visit today. |
This is also an old picture of the friend I went to visit yesterday. |
I seriously could have stayed and taken a lot of pictures, but did not want to over stay my welcome at my friend's house. Plus I had 3 of my 5 kids with me and they wanted to go home and eat lunch and take a nap.
My only kiddo that let me get a picture of her at my friend's house. |

I really like living in the city, but the woods/nature always makes me feel relaxed. Sounds like you had a great visit with your friend!
ReplyDeleteThe nature never ever disappoints us. Such beauty (captured in the photos) makes me wanna stay, take my time and take it all in. Loved it. 😍
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's difficult to find time with friends. Since we've moved here, my husband has seen his friend less than he did when we lived 150 miles away. We have three more kids than we did, then, but people just get busy. I'm so glad you got to see your friend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on capturing the beauty of nature today while visiting your friend. Moving is difficult on everyone, hopefully through your blog and writing you can still stay connected.
ReplyDeleteYou took some lovely photos, it sounds like a good day. Sometimes its difficult to see your friends more but you've managed it x
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a great day! We live in a more scenic area just like your friend, and really do love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are beautiful!! Looks like such a fun day! It is night to have some time like this to reflect every once in a while!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the photos
ReplyDeleteWow it looks like such a lovely place to spend time. The photos you took are just lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great yard she has! Also, great job on the photos! It looks like a lovely place, I am more of a city person personally.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to be able to combine a nice visit with your hobby! Hope you enjoyed your visit before you guys ed up living farther apart!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I too am an amateur photographer and love taking pics of both nature and kids. I learn something new every day!
ReplyDeleteYou have a good eye. That's important and something you can't teach in a photography class. Keep practicing, you'll only get better.
ReplyDeleteBeing close to the nature is always great! We try to camp 2-3 times every summer.
ReplyDeleteThose are some beautiful pictures you took out there today. You do have an eye for some pretty great visuals. I am curious as to how they would look in larger photographs.
ReplyDeleteYour friend does live indeed in a beautiful place. I love how her house is surrounded by nature. I can imagine it's quite peaceful there too.
ReplyDeleteI like your pictures. It does seem peaceful there! It's always nice to read about friendships people value. I have a "sister friend," as we call each other, as our friendship nearly spans a life time (and we're both 60 now!) We grew up together, and she even lived with my family for her final year in high school. We live in neighboring states now, and rarely get to see each other, but we still stay in touch and when we do get together, it's like all the years and miles apart melt away.
ReplyDeleteWow that scenery looks like you travel to an exotic location. How lucky is your friend to experience this all the time? Friendships are special so continue to cherish them even when the physical distance between grows.
ReplyDeleteYour scenic pictures certainly captured the pristine views of your friends home and property. Very lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat job I too like to take picture of nature and spending time with friends. These are precious pictures with great scenery.
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful outdoors! I could only wish I have that nice scenery for my backyard. :D We live in the city, so we cannot afford that.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of nature are beautiful. Your friend lives in a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteTruly heartwarming seeing the kids in your pictures :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you were able to see your friend. That was such a beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteI have lived in the city all my life and I long for that day when I can fully retire and move to the suburbs, or out in the country where life is more relaxed. Being so close to nature is happiness to the truest sense of the word.
ReplyDeleteI adore the outdoors! This looks like a fantastic place.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to raise a family! If I could move there, I would! It does get pretty stressful to live in the urban jungle from the day you were born!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time. I love when friends get together. Pure happiness. xo, Suzanne
