I have gotten a lot of my smoothie recipes off of Pinterest. Pinterest is great for finding almost any recipe you want. If you don't have a Pinterest account, I highly suggest you get one, but beware because it is an addicting website. So back to the smoothies. I have made three smoothie recipes from Pinterest and they were Pinterest successes! You always see Pinterest fails, which are funny to read. I have had a few fails, but we won't discuss those. I thought I'd share Pinterest successes so that others can see and hear how things turn out and that you can succeed at making something you find on Pinterest.
Raspberry Peach Smoothie
The first one I tried was a Raspberry Peach Smoothie. The ingredients are: frozen raspberries, frozen peaches, vanilla greek yogurt, and vanilla almond milk. Here is the link for the recipe: http://deliciouslysprinkled.com/raspberry-peach-smoothie/. It was delicious and very smooth going down. I wanted it because I was craving raspberries and you can definitely taste the raspberries. I also love it because it is pink. The more colorful a smoothie is, the more I want to try it. Like I said, I found the recipe on Pinterest and I included the original link and that is where the credit is due for this delightful smoothie. Here is a picture of how it turned out for me:
Berry Blast Smoothie
For this smoothie, I had to decrease the amount that I used for everything because I only have a 16oz. blender. Even though I had to cut the ingredients in half, it still came out really great and it looked just like the picture on Pinterest. For this smoothie the ingredients include: frozen mixed berries, fresh strawberries, sugar, orange juice, vanilla extract, and vanilla yogurt. Here is the link for the recipe: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/55169164167282196/. I wanted to try this smoothie recipe because I had all of the ingredients on hand and it looked easy to make. This smoothie was full of berry flavor and very delicious. I definitely think this is a great smoothie to sit outside on the porch with while reading a book. I included the original link for this recipe since that is where the credit is due. Here is a picture of this smoothie:
Peanut Butter Berry Smoothie
This smoothie was just as easy to make as the two above. Ingredients for this one are: a banana, frozen blueberries, peanut butter, milk, and yogurt (I used vanilla yogurt). Here is the link for this smoothie: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/55169164167282460/. This smoothie sounded great because of the peanut butter! This is a great smoothie to satisfy your sweet tooth. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. I wanted something chocolatey, but I also know how much I want to start eating healthier, even before our baby girl is born so I found this recipe and thought this sounds sweet. If you want something sweet and healthy, I definitely recommend this smoothie. Again, I found this recipe on Pinterest and included the original link for credit factor. Here is a picture of this one:
All of thr above smoothies are kid approved. I made these when my 2 year old was running around and he wanted some.
Let me know if you try any of the above recipes or if you already have tried them.
