On Monday I celebrated my 29th birthday. I am in my last year of the twenties. My husband likes to tease that I am almost thirty. Knowing that my twenties are ending, I do get a little sad. My twenties were really good to me with a whirlwind of life changing events. Most of the whirlwind of life changing events involves Rob and our four boys. Many memories were made during my twenties. Yes, I am sad, but I am excited as I close the twenties out and enter my thirties. I am sure they will be just as full of milestones and events. I cannot wait to see how God will continue to work in my life.
God has blessed me with a wonderful life. I do my best to not take anything in my life for granted. God amazes me because He knew what would happen in my life before I was even born! That is just part of how mighty God truly is. He knows what will happen in my future and in your future. I love the aspect of God and that He is all knowing. God knows us better than we know ourselves.
I am so thankful that I am walking this life with Jesus. Many of the events and milestones that have occurred in my life, to this point, would not have happened if it weren't for the many prayers I prayed. I believe in the power of prayer. God has answered so many prayers of mine. I still have many more prayers but I am trusting that God will answer them.
I hope and pray that my life reflects Christ, not just to other people, but to my boys and family. I recently read Matthew 5:14-16 during one of my quiet times with God. In those verses, Jesus tells his followers that we are the light of the world. The world is looking at the followers of Jesus to see how we act in situations and towards non believers. I hope that I am a light to someone's dark world. I hope that I am Jesus to someone who doesn't know who Jesus is. Jesus expects me to live my life for him by spreading the gospel. That is why I write about what God is doing my life and what God can do in the lives of the people that read this blog.
I may only be 29, but God has used me and will continue to use me to bless others. I walk this life with a lot of faith, hope, and love.
It's obvious that you have lived a fulfilled decade of 20's and that you are grateful for such a happy and wholesome life! No doubt your 30's will bring more of the same!
ReplyDeleteI love your perspective on life. It is so important to realize what you have and why you are here than to worry about what you haven't done in your life. Happy birthday!
