My Motivation

The past month or so I have felt sluggish and unmotivated to do things. Two weeks ago I finally got motivation to not only get housework done but to also exercise. I am so glad I found that motivation. I have felt better physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually.

I have even been unmotivated to spend time with God because of circumstances. I'm finally back into doing that and feel so much better. He gives me strength when I'm weak. He whispers that I CAN do this. God motivates me. My husband motivates me. My kids motivate me. My friends motivate me. I'm thankful for the encouragement I get daily from friends and family. I am thankful that God has heard my prayers to give me strength and energy.

I feel this post partum depression is lifting. I am getting back to the things I love: God, my friends, helping others, my hobbies, etc. No matter how much Satan tries he will not win. My motivation to overcome with the help of God is much stronger.

Readers, I am not sure where you are. Let me encourage you not to give up with what you arsoing. Keep going because the reward will be great. If you are a parent, keep up the awesome job; the reward is great and will be great. If you need more motivation or encouragement, here are some Bible verses that help me:

Let's find ways to build one another up and motivate each other. Let's get out of our ruts and find hope and encouragement through family and friends and most of all from God.

  1. I'm glad your depression is lifting and you're feeling motivated. Great Scripture graphics, too.

  2. Thanks for joining our Kentucky Bloggers group on Facebook. I look forward to checking out more of your blog! I have also found myself dealing with more depression and anxiety in the last few months that's really dragging me down. I am really trying to focus on what motivates me and strengthening my relationship with God to pull me thru.

  3. It can be so hard sometimes to find motivation but I've found that I feel so much better when I'm doing the things I enjoy than when I don't. I'm glad you're getting your motivation back and feeling better. PPD is so tough and of course the lack of sleep that comes with a newborn doesn't help.
    I love the scripture graphics!

  4. This is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing! I have a 2 month old and I love her to pieces-- but it's very difficult. I don't have pp depression, but I was diagnosed pp anxiety which is similar but less dibilitating.

  6. Phil. 4:13 seems to always be working for me - especially when I'm trying to do something I've never done before :D

  9. It's so refreshing to take a moment and find your motivation, to acknowledge and name it. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better and rejuvenated. :)

  10. I have a medical condition that decreases my motivation, so I completely understand this! I finally pushed myself yesterday to do a bunch of housework AND cook! Now I feel great! :)
