Dear Logan

The school year will be starting this week. Logan, our oldest, had Kindercamp yesterday in preparation for Kindergarten. I wanted to write a letter to Logan and I thought I would publish it here on my blog.

Dear Logan,

This Wednesday you will be starting Kindergarten. You are ready for this. You are such a smart and sweet little boy. Your Daddy and I are so proud of you. We know you may be a little scared at first, but you have an amazing teacher that will teach you everything you need to learn this year. We are also here to help teach you what you need to know. We are by your side and rooting for you.

You are starting a new chapter in your life and it is definitely a big milestone. I am sorry if I am  emotional. I am still going back and forth on if I am okay with you going off to Kindergarten. I know I have to be, but it is such a big milestone. You entered our lives almost 6 years ago as a 6lb. and 1/2 oz. baby. You have grown up so much and where there was once a baby and toddler, now stands a little boy who is ready to go further into this world.

I pray that God will guide you as you go out a little further on your own. Daddy and I don't have to worry too much, because we trust that God will take care of you. If you ever feel alone in this big world, know that God is always with you. As I said already, we are by your side too. Don't give up and don't let anybody tell you that you can't do anything. You can do anything that you put your mind to. You are already pretty persistent about doing a lot of things.

There really is not much more to say, except have a great first day of school! Learn. Grow. Succeed. Be YOU!

We love you, Logan!
