A Whole New World

No, this whole new world does not involve a magic carpet ride or unbelievable sights (well maybe unbelievable sights). Today, we go to Cincinnati Children's Hospital (the Mason campus) in Mason, OH for Landon to be fitted for his BAHA (Bone Anchored Hearing Aid) softband device. Hopefully Landon will get it today as well! If he does receive it today, his world will be a whole new world! I am excited! He will be one in almost two weeks and hopefully language wise he can catch up once he receives his softband.

On Monday, he had his second evaluation with First Steps (Kentucky's Early Intervention Services). He hopefully will qualify for services. Mainly speech and some developmental therapy. I am very excited about the next few months as he has his world opened up and as he starts therapy with First Steps.
What Landon's softband will look like or at least similar.

We are excited!
